“Idioums is a small series of wall-based works that take familiar sayings literally. Phrases such as ‘All in your stride’ and ‘Follow your nose’ appear alongside images and objects that half illustrate, half contradict them. The pieces borrow the scale and clarity of commercial signage, but the messages feel slightly misaligned, as if the instructions had been scrambled in transit. Language, image and support depend on one another, turning everyday idioms into awkward, physical things."
