Love Chairs
“Love Chairs treats seating as a diagram of how two people might occupy the same small territory. A family of compact chairs, built to the same underlying structure and finished in clear, saturated colours, are arranged in close relation to one another. Their exaggerated profiles and tight spacing suggest intimacy and awkwardness at the same time – bodies almost touching, almost overlapping, never quite settling into a single stable arrangement. Everyday furniture becomes a way of thinking about closeness, support and personal space.”
