Dulwich Orchard Gates

These orchard gates were designed and fabricated for a garden in Dulwich village. Solid timber boards are carried by a robust steel frame, with custom-made posts and hinges that take up the irregularities of the site. The pattern of the boards gives a clear outline when viewed from the street, while still allowing glimpses of the trees behind, so the boundary feels protective without being heavy or closed.
